Overview
Use this guide to reconnect Listing Monster to your eBay account when it has disconnected. Reconnect as soon as you can after you get a disconnection email. Until you do, your listings won't sync with eBay and any actions you take on them could fail.

Before you start
You'll need:
A Listing Monster account that was connected to eBay before.
The sign-in details for the eBay account you sell from.
Spot when your eBay account has disconnected
When your eBay account disconnects from Listing Monster, Listing Monster sends you an email with the subject "Your Listing Monster eBay connection needs some attention". A disconnection can happen for a few reasons, such as changing your eBay password.
While your eBay account is disconnected:
Your listings won't sync correctly between Listing Monster and eBay.
Actions you take on your eBay listings in Listing Monster could fail.
⏱️ That's why it's important to reconnect your eBay account quickly.
Open your eBay connection settings
You reconnect your eBay account from the Connections page in Listing Monster's Settings. You can get there from the disconnection email or from inside the app.
Open Connections from the disconnection email
Open the email "Your Listing Monster eBay connection needs some attention".
Click Click here to reconnect Listing Monster to your eBay account. This takes you straight to the Connections page in Listing Monster.
Open Connections from inside Listing Monster
Click the Settings icon at the bottom of the left-hand menu.
In the Settings menu, click Connections.
Open your eBay connection
On the Connections page, find the eBay row.
Click Edit Connection.
A window titled Edit eBay Connection Settings opens. If your eBay account has disconnected, the panel near the bottom of the window says No eBay account link found.
Renew your eBay token
Renewing your eBay token is what reconnects Listing Monster to your eBay account. A token is a secure digital key that lets Listing Monster access your eBay account. You renew it by signing in to eBay again.
In the Edit EbayConnectionSettings connection window, click Renew Token.
A confirmation box appears asking Are you sure you wish to renew the eBay token? It explains that Listing Monster will connect to eBay using the eBay account currently signed in on your device.
Click Renew.
eBay's Welcome back! sign-in page opens. Check that the email address shown belongs to the eBay account you sell from.
Enter your eBay password in the Password box.
Click Sign in. If you sign in to eBay with Apple, click Continue with Apple instead.
You're automatically returned to the Edit EbayConnectionSettings connection window in Listing Monster. The panel near the bottom now shows:
eBay account linked
Token Expires, followed by a date and time
Refresh Token Expires, followed by a date and time
Token Type: User Access Token
Turn sync back on and save
Once your eBay token is renewed, turn sync back on so Listing Monster and eBay start syncing again.
In the Edit EbayConnectionSettings connection window, tick the Enable Sync box.
Click Save.
Expected result
✅ Your eBay account is reconnected to Listing Monster. When you click Edit Connection on the eBay row, the panel says eBay account linked and shows your new token expiry dates. With Enable Sync ticked, your listings sync between Listing Monster and eBay again.
💡 Tips and best practice
Reconnect your eBay account as soon as you get the disconnection email. The sooner you do, the fewer listing actions will fail.
Before clicking Renew Token, make sure you're signed in to the right eBay account in your browser. Listing Monster connects to whichever eBay account is signed in on your device.
If you change your eBay password, expect your eBay account to disconnect from Listing Monster. Follow the steps in this guide to reconnect it straight away.
Don't forget to tick Enable Sync and click Save after renewing your eBay token. Renewing the token alone is only part of the job.

Why did my eBay account disconnect from Listing Monster?
Your eBay account can disconnect from Listing Monster for a few reasons, such as changing your eBay password. When this happens, Listing Monster emails you with the subject "Your Listing Monster eBay connection needs some attention". To fix it, go to Settings > Connections, click Edit Connection on the eBay row, then click Renew Token.
My listings aren't syncing with eBay, or my actions keep failing
If your listings aren't syncing with eBay, or actions on them are failing, your eBay account may have disconnected from Listing Monster. Go to Settings > Connections and click Edit Connection on the eBay row. If the window says No ebay account link found, follow the steps in this guide to renew your eBay token.
I clicked Renew Token, but my eBay connection still isn't syncing
If your eBay token is renewed but your listings still aren't syncing, check that Enable Sync is ticked. In Settings > Connections, click Edit Connection on the eBay row. Tick Enable Sync, then click Save.
